Incredible India

India, our incredible country, shines like gold in this world for its rich culture and heritage. Its people stand united in diversity. Our national symbols also unite and represent our great country. To name a few of national symbols our national flag is the tricolor, our national flower is Lotus, our national bird is peacock, our national animal is tiger, our national tree is the Banyan Tree and our national fruit is mango.

Today I will talk more about our national flower, Lotus and our national bird, Peacock.

Lotus flower is a symbol of divine beauty and purity. It is considered sacred and holds a special place in Indian mythology. It is especially associated with the preserver, Lord Vishnu and the creator, Lord Brahma and Goddesses Lakshmi and Saraswati. Lotus is also a symbol of knowledge and enlightenment. It, therefore, represents the glorious gift of spirituality India gave to the world. Lotus also is very useful for its medicinal properties.

Next I will talk about our national bird, the peacock. Its lovely long feathers and shimmering blue neck makes it the most beautiful bird on earth. The elaborate dance of a male peacock can mesmerize any one. The eye in Peacock's feather is also a symbol of divine wisdom. It is known as the third eye of Lord Krishna, who spread the message of knowledge, karma and bhakti across the world. Peacock's beauty, pride and grace represents India's respected status in the world.

I feel proud to learn the amazing things about my incredible india and that I am citizen of this great country.

Jai Hind!
