Rapunzel - Fairy Tale Narration
Good Morning dear teachers and my dear friends. I am Nandini Bhalla from Grade 1 CBSEi and today I am going to tell you a mesmerizing fairy tale of love and faith, Rapunzel. I hope you will enjoy this amazing story.
(Cutout masks with handles of the given pictures, from the movie Tangled, were created as props along with the title scroll)
Once upon a time there was an evil witch who tricked a happy couple to give away their child for a delicious herb called Rapunzel.
The witch raised the baby and named her Rapunzel itself
The baby grew up to be a pretty lady with longest and the most beautiful hair. But the evil witch locked her away in the highest room of the tallest tower. With a magic spell she vanished the door of the tower.
Rapunzel, alone and gloomy, would sing all day to cheer herself.
When the witch wanted to meet Rapunzel, she would yell from the bottom of the tower,
"Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let your hair down"
The witch would climb up her long hair into the tower.
One day a handsome prince saw this happening. He wanted to meet the singer with the enchanting voice.
When the witch was gone, he went there called out
"Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let your hair down"
As she did so, the prince climbed up and fell in love with her.
One day the witch came to know about this and got furious.
She chopped Rapunzel's hair and sent her to the deep woods of jungle.
Next day when the prince came and climbed up Rapunzel's braid, he was horrified to see the witch. She pushed him saying "You will never see Rapunzel again".
As he fell down he got blinded with thorns. He wandered into jungle but hears Rapunzel singing. He followed her voice and they got united. Looking at the blind prince, Rapunzel cried. Her tears magically healed eyes of the prince. He took Rapunzel to his kingdom and got married.

The witch was sent to exile and everyone lived happily ever after.
As another prop a hand held small tower was created using cardboard (covered in a handmade paper and decorated with ivy vine made with 3d liner paint). A braid made of dupatta was fixed with pins on one corner of it. Tower had a namesake window through which one can peep out the masks of the witch and Rapunzel to create an effect.
