Water is Precious - Speech

[This is a speech on the topic "Water is Precious" along with supporting props.]

I want you all to close your eyes for a minute and picture the lovely earth, fresh air and clean cool water. Isn't it lovely? Now slowly with time, things change. Clean water is nowhere and air is also not so fresh. There is only a small place where there is fresh water and everybody wants that. People are now fighting, they are angry, they are thirsty, they all want the water.

Now open your eyes and think, will that ever happen for real?

Well, May be!

Our mother earth is covered with water but only a small part of it is fit for our use. Today we have clean water what do we do? We keep tap running while brushing our teeth, play with water when in shower. Even our parents use more water than necessary for cleaning. Not only that, we also throw garbage in our rivers and spoil our natural water resources. I know Mother Nature is very sad that we don't care and one day she will punish us and there will be no water left to drink.
but 

So today I have come here to ask you and myself to pledge. That we will not waste any water. What we will not litter garbage. That we will learn about rain water harvesting and do it in our homes and that we will participate more in Clean India Campaign and clean our rivers.

If we want the earth to be as lovely as it is and to always have a glass of clean water when we are thirsty, we must make this pledge.

Once again, Save Water and Save Again!
